To support State Farm’s “Born to Assist” ad campaign (featuring the LA Clippers’ Chris Paul and his fictitious twin brother Cliff), we created a set of print ads that ran in USA Today and on the back cover of the 2013 NBA All-Star Game program. The ads featured a custom typographic ambigram, which is a pictogram that reads the same right-side-up and upside-down. The campaign has been wildly successful, and fans have since taken to wearing fake mustaches and bringing large Cliff Paul cut-outs to Clippers games.

The Cliff Paul argyle pattern that we developed was used in several applications, most noticeably Nike's customizable Chris Paul-edition Air Jordans.
